We have always had violence rear its ugly head through the ages whether it is an act of war, brutality in the streets, bloodshed within a family, a serial killer, or the hangman’s noose.

When the shooting took place in Aurora, Colorado on July 20, 2012 , I decided to take a few days before commenting astrologically. One man’s actions upset the lives of seventy-two people, twelve of them never able to attain their dreams.

Since March 2011 the planet Uranus in Aries, relating to sudden action, started to form a square to Pluto in Capricorn representing the masses.. The configuration increased in strength in June. In July the planet Mars in Libra added a second square to the mix, forming what we call a T-square in astrology. The T- squares’ energy increased July 17 adding the possibility of violence.

James Holmes, a Sagittarian Sun sign with his Moon in Virgo became a killer as Pluto, Uranus and Mars activated Neptune in his birth chart. Mars in Libra ruled the moment Holmes fired on the movie theater audience. With four planets in Sagittarius Holmes probably started to plan the carnage in December 2011.
The Moon in Leo, July 20 gave him confidence, a sense of importance and theatrics as it formed a square to his birth Mars and Pluto in Scorpio. However, this article is not just about Holmes, it is about the square between Pluto and Uranus which not only affects us individually it affects the lifestyle of many countries, and the inner core of the Earth.

Living on planet Earth, the earth and mankind experience subtle change in our lives, change associated with a slow moving planet such as Pluto. When the planet Uranus forms a square to Pluto the changes are sudden, sometimes violent as leadership around the world is ousted, threats of war increase, and rebellions take place. Guns and explosives produce carnage in towns and villages. People are agitated, rebellious, angry, and sudden violent behavior takes place. People get caught up in aggression and hostility. Even Mother Nature gets into the act with landslides, sinkholes, volcanic activity and earthquakes. Storms become more destructive.

On a lesser scale individuals are uptight and angry with those who disagree with them such as in the United States when discussing politics. Friendships are broken, one accuses the other of stupidity, and some remain angry, very angry. It is interesting to note Pluto in Capricorn represents a conservative political scene, and Uranus the planet of upset and change, and rebellion in Aries is challenging the basics of life between now, and 2017. Uranus rules Socialism. The people of the United States had better heed the warnings of this square, or the very foundation their country was built on will tumble as the planets continue squaring off till 2017.

As the financial world reacts to the planetary square with the value of the Euro in question, European countries subject to failures, and major stock market fluctuations the decision makers had better think twice when demanding change.

People around the world are concerned with their own survival. Foreclosures, job loss, high food prices, gas prices and income barely covering basic needs adds to everyday concerns frustrations.

What is happening to us!

It is not the end of the world, but it is a planetary cycle which is asking us to pay attention to what is important in life. It is asking the men who run the world to take responsibility for their actions and decisions. It is not about power and greed, it is about humanity. It is understanding we are all in this together. It is about life on a planet which gives us the elements we need to survive, a planet we should treat with care and respect. A planet who nourishes us.

When a powerful planetary aspect moves through the heavens it challenges us to remember who we are. We are souls living with each other on a planet we did not manufacture. We live in a Universe we did not create.

The square between Pluto and Uranus suggests we get back to basics, we have gotten to big for our britches, we forgot to be nice to each other, we are still like two-year-olds fighting over toy cars in a sand box. Generation after generation we have not changed. The wars, the toxins, the chemicals, and viruses rule our lives. Money is a manipulator among men. Leadership is about power and greed within their own circles, not the people they represent. Where are the men who lead with a consciousness for a better life for all.
Are the men in power a reflection of all of us. If so, we must change if we want our children and grandchildren to have a good life.

If we don’t move away from the two-year-old stage of growth, the planets suggest Mother Nature may do it for us. History repeats itself. Rome did fall, Atlantis did exist. Lemuria disappeared. Nature has a way of letting us know, we are not in charge.

Just as the news of the Solar eclipse of May 20, 2012 begins to fade the forecast for different countries does not diminish. The news reports consist of everything Taurus stands for such as currency, banking, taxation, economics, stocks, bonds and recession. Certainly unemployment, food stamps,  foreclosures, and homeless families are part of the equation.

We read about the crisis in Greece, the Eurosystem, Eurobonds, the European Central Bank, the European Union summit, the proposed  Financial Transactions Tax, and the World Bank  forecasts on China. The news articles hint a crisis is almost upon us.

The approach of the lunar eclipse June 4, 2012  will demand the banks, and governments involved take responsibility as Greece falters. The planetary aspects involved in the two eclipses indicate it is not just a fiscal issue it is a banking problem. Taurus is about economics and policy measures, but it is also about the dynamics of social change.

The Euro came into existence at midnight January 1, 1999 with the Sun in Capricorn and the Moon in Cancer. Mercury was in retrograde in Sagittarius. With five planets in Capricorn, and Mars in Taurus an astrologer might think the euro would be problem free with the banks enjoying great monetary success, and the governments involved pleased with the new system. However, with Mercury in retrograde, and the Moon in Cancer opposing Neptune at the start of the day the system is flawed.

In 2009 Saturn began to move through the horoscope of the Euro thrusting the flaws of the system into force. By late 2010 issues escalated, February 2012 the problems associated with the Euro put the banks, and governments into a difficult position. As the planets of June 2012  intensify Europe’s  predicament  other economic issues add critical concerns to investors around the world.

The difficulty continues to build as arguments to save Greece, or let her go  has consequence no one wants, no matter what they decide.

Helping Greece stay in the system is a band-aid, but a needed band-aid. However the aides will have to understand it will take into 2016 for Greece to recover which makes common sense at this time. Of course a recovery requires good governing and outside help.

The Euro was meant to be an economic and monetary union, instead it is a union put together too quickly, it is flawed, and astrologically placed in motion on the wrong date and time.

In today’s world the problem is power and greed, a large world population, and change within different countries due to social unrest.The social unrest is either religious, or political with people displaying frustration, anger and violence bringing leadership change.

Still in effect the May 20 Solar eclipse under the sign of Taurus, and the planet Venus ruling the sign is associated with peace and love, but the other side of the coin  represents unrest, war and dictatorship in the name of giving you a better life.
